Ingleside fishing guide

Ingleside sits on the north shore of Corpus Christi Bay, with the La Quinta Ship Channel and Ingleside Cove on its waterfront and Redfish Bay's grass flats to the east. Local guides fish the open bay and channel edges as well as the flats toward Aransas Pass and Port Aransas for redfish, trout, black drum, flounder and sheepshead. Rockport anglers mostly work Aransas Bay and Port Aransas is built around the pass and jetties, while Ingleside's home water is the bigger, deeper Corpus Christi Bay, reached from the city ramp and fishing pier at Cove Park.

80 ft, asked and answered

Fishing Ingleside, asked and answered

Where is the public boat ramp in Ingleside?

Cove Park at 1319 Ocean Drive has the city's boat ramp and a fishing pier. Bahia Marina on Bayshore Drive also has a ramp, but it is a private marina.

Where can I buy bait near Ingleside?

We could not confirm a bait shop inside Ingleside. The closest listed bait sellers are on Bigelow Street in Conn Brown Harbor in Aransas Pass, where Harbor City Bait sells live bait.

When is the best time to fish Ingleside for trout and redfish?

Local guide data rates trout best in April, May, October and November, and redfish best from May through August, with both catchable all year.

Can I keep flounder in November?

No. Texas closes flounder harvest from November 1 through December 14, so fish caught then must be released.
