The Gulf runs roughly a thousand miles from the Lower Laguna Madre to Key West, and it does not fish like one place. Texas is shallow, windy and brown. Louisiana is marsh you can get lost in. The Panhandle is white sand and glare. The Keys are flats on one side and blue water on the other.
What stays constant is the sun. Every one of these fisheries is a full day in the open with no shade, which is why what we make starts with coverage and works back from there.
